While you are right that you often protect the investor better than the servicer. Ealier in the week, you ragged on a servicer for stating unequivocally that she works for the owner of the loan. Remember that.
The best way to negotiate short sales is to convince the servicer that a short sale will put them in thebest position possible. “Its nothering personal, just business.”
@Edward You’re also assuming that the servicer was telling the truth – the servicer was GreenTree (the one honest servicer on the planet right?!).

-How do you convince a servicer that a short sale “is the best possible position” for them them?
-After hundreds of short sales, my experience is that the servicer (specifically the negotiators and lower level managers) don’t give a rat’s ass about what the best possible position is AND they don’t even know how their company is paid by the investor

Are crazy. I just called the number. I’ve been avoiding Shorts Sales with this company for 2years. well I’ll use now. Also you guys give get content you can’t please everybody. you have to eat & sleep short sales to understand where you are coming from
I can’t believe that you gave that “nugget” with a bonus! I completely got it.
The people who think they want to help the bank out should just remember our tax dollars bailed those BAS%$TAR* out. They work for us now and everyone that I’ve had contact with at any bank from the low to the high have no clue about the real world. It is the epitome of an adversarial relationship.
