This just goes to show how irresponsible these banks are with everyone’s money. They took about $15,000 less rather than pay an extra 2% in closing costs. Way to go Suntrust. That makes a lot of financial sense…. Way to keep on it Claudia!

I am glad it worked out well for you. Just to let everyone know I contacted John McCains office and never got any response to phone calls or my letter I sent. Aurora worked the same way on one of my short sales. We had an offer of $110,000 on the property that was turned down and the buyer refused to even come up $1.00 Then an offer of $126,000. I was calling daily to get the foreclsoure postponed and it was to be postponed. But after checking the foreclosure site it was still showing up.Although they said the foreclosure request was submitted and would be postponed. Aurora foreclosed and sold it at $98,000. Has anyone ever hear of simple math?

Claudia, AWESOME lady! Way to go to whole distance! SunTrust is the one bank that I do not hear a lot about concerning short sales and they are the servicer for so many loans here in metro Atlanta. Good to hear a success story in dealing with SunTrust, and it’s idiotic that you had to go to such lengths to be heard. Thanks for supporting your seller!

Congratulations, Claudia! I experienced the same in a short sale where Ms. Walker was the negotiator, She waited until the last day to let me know they would not extend foreclosure date. Very frustrating…glad to hear your perserverence and “outside the box” mindset helped your client avoid foreclosure.
