They can easily access them, and sell to them so effectively that they decide to stop doing business with us. This is especially true for iBuyers. These platforms have mastered the art of messaging, and understanding that people don’t just care about money when it comes to selling their homes.

Be intentional about becoming a full-time agent

Most agents don’t make the transition from balancing real estate with another job, to taking on real estate full-time. They don’t cross that bridge, but Kenny managed to because he had the goal to get out of debt. Having that goal kept him going. 

Real estate is suffering because agents are not unified in the face of disruption

The one thing that is threatening the survival of real estate is our lack of unity. What makes iBuyer platforms so effective is that they give a unified message to the consumer, while real estate agents can’t get on the same page. We have to unite in how we message what is happening in market to consumers. 

There is a consumer need driving the surge in iBuyers 

iBuyers are taking over many real estate markets for one reason, people would rather have control, certainty and convenience over equity. Money is one part of the conversation but it’s not all the consumer is looking for.

If we don’t let consumers know that we are on top of what’s happening in the market, we’ll be left behind. At the end of the day, we don’t need to have any of the capital or the risk, we just need to have the message and stay in front of our people. It’s about working to be the best representatives to our customers, regardless of what is happening in the market.
