I love the property management company lead source. I will be calling today.
Here is one to share with everybody. I have found family law attorneys to be a great source. usually they are dealing with a divorce situation and the underwater house is a significant problem on how to deal with the divorce. If they can bring a short sale expert into the picture and explain the benfits of a short sale vs. a foreclosure, you almost always get the listing.
Excellent tip on the property mgt guys and Steve, wow, totally outback to sit in on an attorney consult as the SS and Frclsr expert – 🙂 Pretty cool – do you btw, give them the “I’m not a legal expert disclaimer?”
Oh absolutely on the disclaimer. You would be suprised on the number of attorneys I run into that don’t know how to properly run a short sale. I am closing an estate transaction next week, meeting with a family law group later this month and lunch with a former construction defects attorney in two weeks.
I have generally found two schools of thought with attorneys, either they appreciate your abilities to help this person or they think you are below them and they are smarter than you even though they are unfamilar with terms like redemption, deficiency, GSE, etc…
